Sleep…
Want it. Need it. Can’t get it. Maybe this is menopause. I’ve heard you can’t sleep during menopause. I really WANT TO sleep, I just can’t turn off my brain at night. In fact it gets ramped up to a whole new level.
I don’t remember the lack of sleep being the worst part of bringing home the twins. I was up anyway, so I saw no problem with actually having something to DO while I was up. But now the kids are 7, 7, & 5. At night THEY’RE out, sawing logs with my husband by 10 p.m., and I’m WIDE AWAKE ALL NIGHT.
It must be selfishness that’s keeping me up. I’m so happy to, late at night, finally have a little time by myself in the quiet. There’s nobody I have to talk to. Nobody suggesting I do something with my time that what I want to do. Nobody judging what I am choosing to do. I really can’t do anything but read/write/learn at 2 a.m. Our house is so small, if I were to get up and try to fold laundry, clean or even re-organize a cabinet (my favorite 2am past-time when we DIDN’T live in a shoebox), it would wake my husband. And goodness knows, we do not want to wake the sleeping prince. Skip is the lightest sleeper I’ve ever known. Unfortunately for both of us he married the worst insomniac of all time. Hand’s down, my lack of sleepiness at night is our BIGGEST marital issue. And Skip is a frugal accountant who sees everything in dollars (even the last squirt of toothpaste), yet my sleep problems are a bigger bother to him than even my spending. My schedule occasionally shifts from the nightshift to the day shift & back, so that could be part of the problem. I’m sure eating Oreos at 8 p.m. doesn’t help either, but OF COURSE, I’d NEVER do THAT…
And the nighttime tornado watches are not helping.
Get well quick we miss you on the Tube. This is from the guy in black that helped you with the Creedmoor Car show this past summer, Bob

Well, Francis...the older you get the less sleep you get. I have so many friends tell me the same thing. When I worked I blamed this condition on stress. I just retired and now I stay up all night and sleep later. The results are the same.
Melatonim is good though. The Show the Doctors said try pumpkin seeds. I did. They taste good...haha,

I didn't know where you were, Francis. I've been wondering so I decided to check the Blog. Surely, I'd find out something there. I did. I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. I hope you will be back soon. It's not the same without you on the news cast. I like your perkiness. It helps because there is so much bad news to report, and you're refreshing.

Get well soon, Frances. I must be psychic. I don't watch the news all that often, but I woke up this morning and all of sudden asked my husband, "Wonder where Frances Scott is?" Just like that, out of the blue. I guess you are more important to my life than even I know. I just sensed that something was missing. And, no, it is not menopause; you are way too young for that. (Hey, fellow English major, see if you can guess my real name).

I have been missing you on the news Frances. I remember not sleeping well at all when I went thru peri-menapause (which is the 8-10 years before menapause). I only got 2 hrs of sleep a night!!! Had to finally use a sleep medication that helped tremendously. I hope that you will be feeling better soon.

I'm interested in such offer,The sound quality in these podcasts is really poor. I feel bad about complaining about something that is free, but I think it is important.
